		<description>I think you miss an essential point: The Republican party. A 3rd party is more likely to challenge the Democrats than the Republicans. It seems incredibly unlikely to me that those who control the shrunken party today (Hannity, Limbaugh, et al) will lose or give up power.

Without some better personalities heading the party and without more intellectual firepower aimed at the &quot;other&quot; side than what hope do the Republicans have fighting the changed and changing demographics. 

The country ain&#039;t going to get any whiter.</description>
